Poll Worker
Would You Like to be a Poll Worker?
Being a poll worker is a fun opportunity to participate in the election process and make some money at the same time. Besides, your community needs more people like you to work at the polls. Indiana must recruit and train thousands of poll workers in communities across the state every election year! Our democracy depends on the support and volunteerism of Hoosiers like you!
We will teach you everything you need to know to do the job. You just need to meet a few requirements to participate.
* You must be a resident of Marshall County; and
* You must be a registered voter in the county; and
* You must be at least 18 years old; and
* You are not closely related to any of the candidates on the ballot
We staff each precinct with 7 poll workers. There are two Judges, two Clerks, and two Sheriffs representing the Democratic and Republican parties. There is one Inspector that has a Republican Party affiliation, which is determined by the total votes cast for the Secretary of State. If you are interested in being a poll worker, please review the duties of a poll worker, then download the poll worker application.
