The Marshall County Commissioners are accepting applications for the Inspector of Weights and Measures. This is a part time salaried position.
Applicant must be 21 years of age, hold a valid Indiana Driver’s License, demonstrate a safe driving record, be able to lift 50 pounds, and pass a written exam. The applicant must also be able to successfully complete initial and ongoing inspection training programs with a certification from Indiana State Weights and Measures Department.
The position is responsible for enforcing laws and local ordinances pertaining to weighing, measuring and timing devices. Qualified applicants must have the ability to compute/ perform arithmetic operations such as measuring commodities, metrics and tolerances, and have the ability to read and interpret detailed prints/ sketches, specifications and maps and prepare written reports.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Position is Full Time — Permanent
Applicants must have good driving record, able to obtain CDL type B Licensewithin 90 days.
Position will operate various heavy equipment for general maintenance, repair and
safety of County roads and right-of-ways. Working knowledge of accepted
principles and practices involved in heavy equipment maintenance, and ability to
investigate mechanical problems and repair a variety of heavy equipment,
including fabrication of repair parts.
